"The term Ayurveda consists of two words, ayu (life) and veda (knowledge), its ancient origins is India and deals with health and well-being. Ayurveda has now spread all over the world. It's teaching uses of blend herbal medicine, oil massage, nutrition, prayer, panchakarma and scientific analysis to guide us to a balanced fulfilled life style."
The ayurvedic approach
According to modern science, some Surgeries are treatments and not the cure. The treatment attends to the disease but ignores and over looks the cause. The cause remains dormant in the body and causes the disease to re-appear. The hidden cause may create some other diseases as well.
The ayurvedic approach seeks to find the root cause of these symptoms by determining which energetic(s) is out of balance. Physical and emotional factors are considered (i.e., was there a physical injury? a traumatic life-event? daily stressors from work or relationships? etc.). Once the root cause is identified, we use natural means to reverse the imbalance (i.e., diet, meditation, yoga, herbs, etc.).
By understanding the root cause of disease, Ayurveda can eradicate the imbalance from the system in the same way one destroys a weed at its roots to prevent it from returning. To ensure the imbalance does not reoccur, at Gamak we counsel the client on realistic supportive diet and lifestyle changes.
